IT Administrator


Snelling Staffing is seeking an IT Administrator for a company in Riverport. qualified candidates will posses strong leadership skills and problem solving abilities. 

The IT Administrator will be primarily responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading computer and technology-related troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and updates throughout the Louisville depot. Under the direction of the Lead Engineer, this person will be required to troubleshoot various technical problems including hardware problems and software issues. They will be responsible for inventory management, distribution, and maintenance of various items and tools such as SD cards, keyboards, headsets and webcams.


The IT Administrator must have technical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills. The position requires leadership capabilities and the desire to learn new things. They must have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing. The ability to work with a large, diverse group of people is critical for the IT Administrator. Familiarity with Google apps such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Gmail is required.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Define problems and create goals to discover and follow through with solutions.
  • Install and configure software and hardware.
  • Manage network servers and technology tools.
  • Set up accounts and workstations.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages.
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
  • Maintain software development with existing consultants.


  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role (3-5 Years in a lead position).
  • Experience with databases and networks (LAN, WAN).
  • Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Professional certification (e.g. Cisco Networking, Meraki, Airwatch, Zebra, Honeywell)
  • A Bachelor's degree in IT, IS, or Computer Science is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate problems and solutions to senior managers.
  • Must be able to run low voltage cabling, Maintain building security systems, Setup and remove employee systems access.
  • Review existing process instructions for problems and edit those instructions as needed, all while ensuring instructions are scalable and repeatable.
  • Manage technician labor and tasking.
  • Create and send scheduled reports as needed.
  • Earn and maintain certifications as needed.
  • Willing to grow and expand your skill set is essential.
  • Familiarity and experience with cloud computing and offsite data storage.

Cisco Networking, Meraki, Airwatch, Zebra, Honeywell, A+ and MCSE
